Mr. X round 20 part 2
Can I start by adding my 2 cents worth about the shock of Graham “Muzza” Murray’s passing. I don’t think anyone in footy will take this news well today.
Even though many knew he hadn’t been well and he recently stood down from his position as the coach of the Australian Women’s RL team, (who subsequently went on to win the World Cup) this came as a shock. He was a very well-liked person in our game and a genuine lover of footy and the game will be weakened for without him.
Well Round 20 , DISASTER !!!!
It started Ok with the Bulldogs covering the 13+ in the first 12 minutes of their game, without making a tackle.
Then the tussle between the Qlders which looked like being saved by the cowboys as the match wore on but, as he has often done, the class of Justin Hodges just shines at the right time and he moves from right centre and gets involved on the left edge from dummy half, picks and drives his way over the line ( a new ra ra term coach Smithy has taught me) . Hodgo is a genuine match winner and was the difference between winning and losing for the Broncs & my funds which headed south!
So not to be stopped I went head to head with coach Smith over the Cronulla V Panthers game. I genuinely thought that without Gallen, Lewis, Ryan and others that the Sharks might struggle with the Panthers even at home. I was wrong , simple as that and Coach Smith’s call on Friday that the Sharks would stand up and that Penrith’s form was a little exaggerated came home to roost.
Now down to my last I am prepared to throw out a quick tip for tonight’s Monday Night footy and say that there is two bets to have.
Manly 13 plus at $1.90 or
Tigers to score less than 14 points also at $1.90
I have backed them both and hope they both get up.
