Tipping is a Mug’s Game
Tipping is a Mugs Game
This round 4 sees the closest of match-ups by player talent in almost every game, making it a nightmare for tipsters.
Mr X has explained to me that sometimes simply tipping the winner of the game is more difficult than punting on the winner.
Using the start when you feel the match is too close to call is one method and so is the unders and overs on total points scored in a match.
What I explained to him was that to win that way I had to part with my money if it didn’t work out and I lost nothing but ego when tipping without punting!
Then he showed me his punting tips for this weekend – WOW. Worth a look if you fancy a small flutter. Remember to bet responsibly if you decide to take a shot with him.
Last week, just for fun, I had a crack at tipping, with 5 from 8 the outcome.
I couldn’t possibly have tipped Wests even with that big win at Gold coast in round 2. Souths were very disappointing in that match even allowing for the early loss of Inglis. I still think it will do them good, forcing them to sort out the best way to get the best out of each other ASAP.
I missed Penrith over the Bulldogs in what I thought would be a close one. In fact, I said I only tipped under sufferance which means I guessed wrong!
And there was no way I could have tipped the Warriors away to Cows.
What does round 3’s results suggest for round 4? Let’s play the mugs game again this weekend:
- Roosters and Manly will be a cracking physical contest.
Roosters particularly if Foran doesn’t play again.
- Dragons @ home to Broncos is a tight one.
Broncos in a very tight one.
- Bulldogs @ home to Storm another to do homework on. Still not sure about the Storm yet but Dogs still scratching in attack and would like to see Sam P back on the wing.
Storm in another close one.
Warriors @ home to Wests. Warriors have an appalling history away from Auckland but within NZ. Then again they had a shocking record away to Cows and got home somehow last weekend. Warriors!
- Eels @ home to Panthers.
My upset for the week Eels with Sandow back in #7.
- Rabbits @ home to Raiders.
- Knights @ home to Sharks.
- Titans @ home to Cowboys on Monday night.
